I really enjoy the traffic circles that were placed on Harlem Rd. last spring. However, the traffic circle at the intersection of Harlem and Cleveland is a two lane traffic circle. Heading southbound on Harlem the posted sign shows that the outside (right hand) lane is for traffic exiting at the 90(west on Cleveland) and 180 degrees (continuing south on Harlem), and the inside (left hand) lane is for traffic exiting the circle on the 180 degrees (Continuing southbound on Harlem) and the 270 degrees (East bound on Cleveland). Multiple times have I been in the inside lane and had traffic treat the circle as if they can drive in both lanes and change lanes from the outside lane to the inside lane and come inches from hitting me. Please be careful and follow the traffic markings.
Yeah, but... Submitted by James Seufert Posted on: 2009-11-02 I like them too, but look at some of the old folks driving thru them...some look kinda cornfused!
Agreed.. Submitted by Chris Posted on: 2009-11-02 Another problem is the people who stop in the middle of them to let people in. Someone is going to get rear ended. When you are in the circle, you have the right of way. I saw a Metro Bus stop in the circle to let people in. I appreciate their courtesy, but it isn't how it's supposed to work. Good point Sean, I have had that happen to me too! You are not alone!
