Springville Area Chamber of Commerce hosts Halloween parade and party
Boo! The Springville Area Chamber of Commerce will once again host a community Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 31. The parade will line up at 12:15 p.m. in the Boys and Girls Club Parking lot on Maple Avenue then proceed left down Maple, left onto North Buffalo Street, left onto East Main Street, left onto Mechanic Street, left onto Franklin Street and end at the Town Hall. First, second and third prizes will be awarded in three different age categories for the best costumes. The prizes are Chamber Bucks gift certificates, which can be redeemed for great treats at most Chamber of Commerce businesses in town.
After the Parade, children will be treated to games, snacks and loads of fun at the annual Halloween Party organized by the VFW Post 5260 and American Legion Post 431 in the Town Hall. This fun, safe, family-friendly event is a Springville tradition and is sure to be a hit again this year.
Jett Mehta and the staff of Dunkin’ Donuts are sponsoring the Costume Parade prizes and snacks for the party. “The sponsorship of generous businesses like Dunkin’ Donuts is what makes these kinds of community events possible. We just couldn’t provide fun events like this without their support,” states Kristen Woodarek, chair of the Chamber’s halloween parade committee.
For more information, call the Chamber office at 592-4746, weekdays between 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
