The arrest of an Elma man and a West Falls man for narcotics and marijuana possession has been announced by Sheriff Timothy B. Howard. The arrest was made in the Springville-Griffith Institute high school parking lot.
Deputy Ben Pisa was on routine patrol in the village of Springville on Saturday morning, October 31, around 4:55 a.m. when he came upon a vehicle parked in the high school parking lot. Upon further investigation, Pisa found 21-year-old James J. Davison of Elma and a 19-year-old male from West Falls sleeping in the vehicle. Further interview and questioning revealed the 19-year-old to be in possession of two oxycodone tablets in a plastic wrapper and Davison to be in possession of a small quantity of marijuana and pop pipes.
Both subjects were subsequently arrested, with the 19-year-old being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and Davison being charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Both were released on appearance tickets, returnable to Village of Springville Court at a later date.
