The Springville PeeWee Bills clinched a repeat trip to the Super Bowl with a 34-14 win over the Salamanca Sabers in round two of the playoffs. Quarterback Zach Slippy had an impressive game running for 206 yards, scoring four touchdowns, an extra point conversion and led the defense with eight tackles. Mitchell Rosati added a spectacular interception and returned it 60 yards for a touchdown. Rosati also scored another three points in extra point conversions.
Backing up Slippy on defense were Carrie Dickinson with five tackles, Rosati with four and Marcus James, Mark Glass, Austin Gearman and Sean Wright each with three. Other tackles were made by Colby Adamski, Josh Steff, Emmitt Collins, Thomas Fite, Anthony Smith, Ryan Smith, Jordan Salzler and Chris Elkins. Josh Steff also recovered a fumble. The Bills took on the Springville Colts Sunday Oct. 25.
