Harlem Rockets comedy basketball team coming to S-GI
Faculty Dream Team faces off against Harlem Rockets
Known for their family entertainment, the Harlem Rockets basketball team provides a night of comedy, amusement and showmanship. For years they have been thrilling fans with their unique combination of basketball skills, zany humor and audience participation.
Coming to Springville on Nov. 5, the Harlem Rockets will be taking on volunteer staff members from the Springville and Colden schools.
Comprised of highly talented former college and professional basketball players, the Harlem Rockets will be facing off against the Faculty Dream Team. The game includes action-packed performances and amazing tricks. Throughout the competition, the Rockets will be involving the audience in their antics. In addition to the game, the players will visit each school during the day to discuss the hazards of drug an alcohol use, as well as provide a positive message about education and goal-setting.
The game will be held in the Springville High School gymnasium, starting at 7 p.m. on Nov. 5. Tickets are available at the High School or Middle School Service offices, Emerling Ford, or by calling 592-3237, ext.1130.
