Laurel Serafin: “I watch my son and daughter perform at a Veteran’s Day celebration at their school. We always have a flag out and at church we recognize the veterans that are there.”
Grace Briggs: “I’m playing ‘Proud to be an American’ for a senior choir’s Veteran’s Day program. I have a son-in-law that was in the Air National Guard.”
Sarah Moody: “When I worked at Bertrand Chaffee I asked the veterans there to tell me their stories. One time I went with a friend to the mall and we thanked the veterans for what they had done.”
Missy Butler: “We go to the Veteran’s Day program at Central Baptist Christian School. The kids put on a patriotic show and they honor veterans.”

Veteran's Day Submitted by David Gray Posted on: 2009-11-06
I work at Fort Hood, Texas, an am a two-tour Vietnam Veteran. Veteran's Day has always been a special event here, but with the recent events, it will be an especially solemn event. To all veterans, "Thank you for your service, and welcome home".
